Our Vision

The Educational Media Center envisions to become the central hub in the instructional programs of the school, connecting its clientele with knowledge in all forms to maintain competitive advantage.


Our Mission

In support of the vision-mission of the Ateneo de Manila High School, the Educational Media Center commits itself to:

- provide the environment for learning with access to all kinds of formats and resources;

- help clientele to become discriminating consumers and effective users of information;

- develop the love for reading and literary appreciation;

- provide opportunities for clientele to appreciate their cultural heritage.


Our Goals

1. effective, efficient, and proactive services to the school community;

2. full partnerships with fellow workers and among administrators, faculty and students;

3. maximum utilization of resources and services;

4. an integral part of the curriculum.


Our Objectives

In pursuit of its vision and mission, the Educational Media Center reiterates its commitment to the following objectives:

1. To participate effectively in the school program as it strives to meet the instructional needs of the students, teachers and other members of the community;

2. To keep abreast with educational and technological trends and practices.

3. To supply a broad range of media formats to meet the requirements of all subject areas and accommodate diverse learning styles.

4. To work with administrators, faculty and students in the selection, acquisition and use of all types of resources that will support and reinforce the curriculum;

5. To organize, maintain, and develop the collection for easy access and dissemination as well as for maximum utilization.

6. To provide suitable facilities conducive to studying and pleasure reading, listening and viewing.

7. To develop proper attitudes, habits and study skills which lead to the continuous and effective utilization of information resources;
8. To monitor and evaluate its programs and services to ensure the effective, efficient and maximum utilization of resources.
9. To preserve and secure relevant resources for the present and future use of the members of the HS community.

10. To support the "Think Philippines" thrust of the school by gathering, exhibiting, and promoting resources that show what are good and beautiful about the country and its people.
